Even though you've been through the class, you might feel you need quite of bit of reminding and refreshing before you're ready to take the big leap and work on your own. There's so much to learn.

In this case, sign up for Assisted Open studio time.

 

Whether you've already got a design in mind or need help with an idea, you'll be guided through the process from concept to final polish.

  • Tools & equipment  provided
  • Students provide their own materials (metal for projects, saw blades, drill bits, burs, sandpaper, solder & flux)
  • All the reminders you need on techniques covered in your class, but no instruction on new skills
  • no production work, please.

METALSMITHING

Studio Rate is $16 per hour,
purchased in 3 hour blocks for $45.
A four-block package is $160, a 20% savings.

METAL CLAY

Studio Rate is $10 per hour,
purchased in 3 hour blocks for $27.
A four-block package is $95, a 20% savings.

Solo Open Studio - When you're really know what you're doing

When you've got all techniques conquered, you're ready for Solo  Open Studio.

 

With tools & equipment provided, you are free to hone your skills and unleash your creativity on projects of your own design.

  • Tools & equipment  provided
  • Students provide their own materials (metal, saw blades, drill bits, burs, sandpaper, solder & flux)
  • An instructor is on hand, but provides no instruction
  • No production work, please.

  • Students are expected to be respectful of the tools and equipment, and to only use tools that they have received training on during previous classes.
  • Students are expected to allow time at the end of their sessions to return all tools to their place and to clean up after themselves.
  • If you damage a tool through abuse or misuse, you will be expected to pay for it.
  • While tools and equipment are provided, not all materials are. You will need to supply your own:

Layout, Drawing, Transfer Materials, such as pencils, paper, Sharpies, rubber cement, label/contact paper

Saw Blades

Sandpaper - Solder
